The Paperweight Trust was launched in 2010 to provide practical guidance and support to the recently divorced or bereaved in the Jewish Community.

The service we offer is both cross communal and cross London. Our clients range in age from their 20s to their 90s and all have found themselves in circumstances beyond their control and unable to cope with life’s daily ups and downs, particularly in organising their domestic affairs. Many have lost a partner through death, separation, divorce and also through progressive dementia-type illness.

Thanks to the unwavering commitment of our volunteers and donors, and following growth and expansion, we now offer a wider selection of support services to a broader range of clients – all of whom have one thing in common – they are alone and need our help.

By the end of 2015, we had over 400 clients throughout London, serviced by 80 volunteer caseworkers, backed up by a large team of managers and administrators operating out of our office in Hendon.
